Honesty like this is hard to find now.
A PERSONAL COMMENT ON DRUGS WITHOUT BEING A MORALIST
Look, some have called me a “loose cannon” for criticizing “druggies” or “stoners” but I’d like to say a few things to correct the balance sheet here.
About me and drugs
I grew up (yep, although people keep telling me to, I already did it a long time ago!) in what was the usual scenario for the time; by young teens we were already smoking, without our parents knowing; in fact at Primary School once my friend and I went back to his house for lunch, got into his parents booze cabinet and by the time we got back to class we were drunk! Laughing in class when we were supposed to be doing arithmetic……drunk as a skunk.
Then came the parties…..parties at mates houses, I was usually the one who had to buy the booze because I looked oldest and faked it well. Then nightclubs, river parties with a bonfire, party crawls. I recall one weekend, a Sunday night, my mates delivered me back home. I could hardly stand. A mate on each side, at the front door “Here is your son, Mrs Gray!” I think I just collapsed there and lay there for some time.
My mother told me “I don’t care what you do in the weekend; I just don’t want to hear about it!” and so I never told her and she didn’t ask. She told me that if I hadn’t learned judgement by that age I never would. She was right; I had learned and I was still learning too. By that stage the dope (marijuana) was already flowing at the parties. I wouldn’t touch the stuff. Oh, I could tell you stories. Then the cocaine arrived….and I didn’t touch that either. Older guys with expensive cars suddenly showing up and doing deals.
One of my friend’s, his sister, a sweet girl, about my age…I had my eye on her. I will not say her name here to protect anybody who may know…one day we visited, she answered the door. She knew me very well, but that day she didn’t know me any longer. She was still friendly, but she couldn’t remember…..anybody. She was only, what….must have been 17 I guess. I found out later she died not long after.
That Changed Me
I left that scene, tired of the parties, wanted to get on with my life and swapped out to study philosophy. I studied, and studied, and studied. I studied the various religions, morals, ethics. Hey I don’t profess to be the most perfect person, but I learned what “perfect” was; I learned the true potential we all have. I learned that life is a game and to play a game well you needed to know all the rules (not just the government ones).
And I learned the rules like you would not believe. By the time I was 21 I was in such a shape that, and this is no word of a lie, I for a while would walk into a room and the light bulbs would blow out. True. I stopped doing it when a woman criticized me by telling me how expensive the light bulbs were to replace! Never did it once again after that. I was also a trained Minister by that stage; something most people do not know about me.
“Drugs make a person feel invincible (as long as they keep taking them) whilst at the same time making changes that the person usually does not even discern for themselves.”
Yeh, that’’s the whole idea. A few drinks, a smoke, chilled out, frees up the communication, right? But really what those drugs are doing is allowing you to be yourself IN A WAY. Not really yourself, because it is synthetic and there are other changes going on, but it is a substitute. It tells us then that there are barriers within a person that stop them from being able to “feel this good” without some sort of synthetic (or some people will say “natural”; and what a misnomer that is!) boost.
Pain and drugs
Pain? How come you don’t know how to get rid of it without those drugs? And here is conditional; sure there are times where even briefly I will take a pain killer for an extreme pain, but only as a temporary fix, not even for days. See, I’m not perfect either. But I have learned what pain is; a mixture of heat + cold + electricity. That’s it. Put those 3 things together and you have pain. I have also learned natural techniques to release it from the body; that pain locks up in the nervous system and can actually be released. One can even do it oneself, or with the help of another.
Over the years I have offered people to learn, held meetings around the country, but the problem is this; people’s trust has gone. They have already been fed rituals not religious philosophy. They have been misled by mainstream media, by mainstream health to believe freedom comes in a pill, or a tablet, or a patch.
Conclusion
I can’t put everything down here that I have learned; it would take too long. But to get back to my original reason for this article; whatever I have called anybody, believe it or not, it is because I care. I care about people; look, I didn’t label anybody; they took the label and thought I was talking about them . But NZ Government have taken labelling to a whole different level, and it is not me you have to be concerned about, it is them. And who is “them” and how did they become “them”? Well, they are the people who conformed, who took the mainstream media, who took the pill. All I am saying it don’t take the pill; it is all part of the deceit. They WANT you drugged up to your eyeballs. The WANT you on ecstasy so they can stop you at the roadside drug test, arrest you and throw you into their newly expanding prisons. It is all part of the system. David Seymour, Chris Luxon, Winston Peters and all of their co-workers are helping build that prison for you using YOUR hard earned cash.
I hope you understand. I am still your friend.
Oh yes, there is a lot of respect for you Nigel and others like you. My earliest lesson was when my mother said that there are somethings you just keep within the family you don’t tell anyone, (She was getting beaten by an Alcoholic) she told me to tell the teachers I fell down the stairs, that’s how I got all my bruises. (I was getting beaten by an Alcoholic I was only 13) My lesson was you cannot trust anyone because even those closest to you lie. So I have been going through life questioning everything I see in front of me. The one thing that had me stumped was history, the architecture of Europe didn’t make sense. It does now if you read and watch what is in our video library.
Thanks Nigel, people needed to hear that.
