Ref: Escalated Claim – Breach of Trust, False Allegations, and Insurance Liability

  1. False Allegation Ignored

New Zealand Police were informed of a false allegation of trespass made by the Mayor and his wife against ………….. The allegation related to a courier delivery. It was proven to be false. Police failed to act, despite the matter constituting wasting police time.

  1. Selective Targeting of …….

While ignoring a false allegation from officials, Police seized …… firearms licence — his lawful tools of trade — based only on the claim that they had been ‘told to do it.’ No verified contract, no lawful agreement, and no signed original documents authorising such action have been produced.

  1. Contradictions in Fitness and Competence

Council animal control officers, accompanied by Police, admitted they did not know how to humanely put down a cow in a residential garden. They called upon ….. to carry out the task because of his skill and reliability. Yet, in the same wider pattern, Police then declared Dave ‘not a fit and proper person’ and interfered with his livelihood. This contradiction is indefensible.

  1. Questionable Warrant Process

We cannot even locate the Justice of the Peace in Ashburton who allegedly signed a warrant connected with these actions. No disclosure has been made of what documents or evidence the JP relied upon. It appears to follow the usual pattern of administrative abuse and warrant misuse by NZ Police.

  1. Unprofessional Conduct and Careless Substitution

Police knowingly arrived earlier than stated, breaching good faith. When they removed a revolver from the wall, they placed a hammer in its position. This was not lawful procedure — it was an unprofessional act, showing disregard for the seriousness of removing a man’s lawful tools of trade. Such behaviour is careless, degrading, and demonstrates that officers did not appreciate the significance of their actions. It adds insult to injury, and confirms that the operation was carried out without proper standards or respect.

  1. Administration Without Right

This case is a clear example of administration without right:
– Interference with Trust property and livelihood,
– Enforcement of civil matters without jurisdiction,
– Ignoring proven false allegations by officials,
– Misuse of warrants without transparency,
– Mishandling of property and firearms,
– Causing loss of time, income, and community trust.

  1. Insurance Claim Escalation

This matter is now formally declared as an insurance claim event. NZ Police are directly liable for:
– Trespass and unlawful interference,
– Reputational and business damages,
– Mishandling of evidence and tools of trade,
– Failure to act impartially and lawfully.

The Trust will pursue this through Marsh, Lloyd’s, and international regulatory oversight.
